GET WILD ABOUT WINE WITH SAMPLINGS AND PAIRINGS NEW THIS SUMMER AT HOGLE ZOO

(Salt Lake City, UT) - Join Hogle Zoo for after hours wine tasting events in the wildest setting in town. Hogle Zoo has been working with wine brokers to bring visitors a selection of wines that not only are available in Utah liquor stores, but will also please the palate. Folks can come by themselves, bring a date, bring friends; most importantly, it's time to get Wild about Wine! The gate will admit Wild about Wine guests 30 minutes before event begins. Different pairing sessions will be held for three separate nights in August: the 5th, 12th, and 19th from 6 to 8 pm. So reserve your spot now and get Wild about Wine with Utah's Hogle Zoo.  
 
Here’s the breakdown of the different evenings for Wild about Wine, hit up one or try all three! Wednesday, August 5th- 6 pm to 8 pm -Animal Lover's- Wine Sampling/Tasting- $35 per person Tonight's selection will be animal themed with either animals on the labels, or paired regionally with some of our animals.  Sample 15 different wines around the Oasis Plaza area of the Zoo.  A selection of Australian and New Zealand wines near the kangaroo exhibit and wines from South Africa at the Elephant Encounter will make the Utah's Hogle Zoo and wine the perfect pair. Don't miss the special Pachyderm Program at 7:00 pm for Wild about Wine guests. Appetizers and snacks will be served.  
 
Wednesday, August 12th - 6 pm to 8 pm    Economic Stimulus Package - Wine Sampling/Tasting $25 per person The economy may be bad, but your wine doesn't have to be!  Tonight taste 15 wines under $15 per bottle with high point ratings (88 points or above).  Tasting will be held in the Oasis Plaza, and Wild about Wine guests will have a change to meet some of the Zoo's smaller animals up close and personal. Appetizers and snacks will be served.  
 
Wednesday, August 19th-  6 pm to 8 pm Asian Highlands Five-Course Dinner and Wine Pairing $50 per person Enjoy a set five-course meal, each course paired with a different wine.  Tonight's dinner will be Asian-inspired to complement the dinner setting up in Asian Highlands, our recreation of a Himalayan village. With our big cats in the background, a warm summer night, good food and great wine, tonight is a wine tasting not to be missed!  Special cat presentation for Wild about Wine guests begins at 6:30 pm.
