|SALT LAKE CITY (Oct. 14) - The wolfpack is back as Utah's Hogle Zoo invites you to celebrate Wolf Awareness Day, Saturday October 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"It is a great time to come up and view our beautiful wolves and learn about their important impact on the ecosystem through fun games and activities," Animal Care Supervisor Jane Larson said.
Guests will learn about efforts to promote wolf conservation, the critical importance wolves play in maintaining a healthy and balanced ecosystem as well as why wolves should be loved and not feared.
In addition, there will be activities for guests and children available, and everyone will also be able to watch as the animal care staff participates in enrichment and training activities with the wolves. Staff will also be on hand throughout the day to answer any questions and provide information to guests about wolves.
Presentations will be given at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
