Campaign – Master Plan 2030

The opening of African Savanna in 2014 marked the completion of Utah’s Hogle Zoo’s first Master Plan. This plan brought dramatic advancements in animal home environments, animal-care facilities and many visitor amenities and represented a $70 million public/private investment. The public response was loud and clear – Zoo attendance has consistently exceeded a million guests for the past several years. Building on this success, Zoo leadership is embarking on an even more ambitious Master Plan 2030. This plan will continue the transformation of the visitor experience with enhanced animal environments, interactive exhibits and a greater emphasis on the Zoo’s conversation priorities. Master Plan 2030 envisions a Hogle Zoo that will set standards for world-class zoo management, animal care and education. To learn more, contact Melissa Saalfield, Major Gifts Officer, (801) 584-4546.

Legacy Fish and Bear Paws

Legacy Fish and Bear Paws at $250 each are still available for the Rocky Shores exhibit. Contact the Development Coordinator to discuss either option at 801-584-4570.

African Savanna Housewarming Gifts

Utah’s Hogle Zoo’s nationally recognized animal enrichment program is studying ways to help our animals feel comfortable in their new habitat and get accustomed to the other animals living with them. Your contribution will purchase enrichment and housewarming toys and gifts that mentally stimulate and socialize these newest residents of Hogle Zoo. Click here to help.

If you would like to make a donation in memory or honor of a loved one, you can make it by clicking here.

With hundreds of animals in our care, you can imagine the weekly food bill at the Zoo. While the Zoo, Arts and Parks tax (ZAP) helps with some of our operating costs, by no means does it cover all of them. Donations in any amount are always welcome. Click here to help.

Zoo A.D.O.P.T.

Each of the animals here at Utah’s Hogle Zoo is unique in its own way, and each gets individual care from our keepers. Some are picky about which fruit they will eat and some just love throwing paper around. By symbolically adopting one of these animals you will aid in the care and well-being of the animal and all the animals at Hogle Zoo. Click here for details and pricing.

Numerous American companies offer current employees and in some cases retired employees the opportunity to match charitable gifts to their favorite nonprofit organizations. To see if your employer matches charitable contributions to zoos, click here.

If you are interested in assuring that future generations of Utahns will remain involved with wild animals, please consider making a bequest or testamentary gift to the perpetual endowment of Utah’s Hogle Zoo. Click here for more details.
