Utah's Hogle Zoo offers live animal presentations to schools and civic organizations in the Wasatch Front.
Classroom programs
Enhance wildlife and conservation studies in your classroom with a visit from Utah’s Hogle Zoo! Our elementary school programs are based on Utah state core curriculum, and are offered for kindergarten, second, third, fourth and fifth grade. Presentations are approximately one hour long, and are geared to individual classrooms to allow students to see and touch our amazing animals.
Presentations on conservation, habitats, and animal adaptations can also be arranged for secondary science classes.
Do several classes in your school want the Zoo to visit? Zoomobile programs visit 6-12 classrooms at one school on the same day. To serve more schools in the area, each state-accredited public school will be eligible for a Zoomobile visit every other year.
All presentations are free to Utah schools through support from the Utah state legislature.
Community programs
A wildlife presentation is a great addition to your scout meeting, senior citizen center, civic organization, science club or nursing home. One-hour educational presentations are available for a fee.
Sorry, we do not visit birthday parties or private homes.
For more information on any of these programs, please contact the Zoo's Docent Office at (801) 582-1631 ext. 713. Docents are in the office Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. |
