Enrichment
Outreach Kit
Environmental enrichment is essential
to animal care within a zoo or aquarium.
This kit offers school groups and
civic organizations the opportunity
to learn, understand and participate
in environmental enrichment for the
Zoo’s animals. Participants
may keep the kit for one month. After
the group’s enrichment devices
are made, they can be returned to
the Zoo prior to the arranged Zoo
visit. During the visit, the group
will watch their enrichment in action!

Realm
of the Tiger
Tigers are among a small number of
animals that are recognized by virtually
everyone. Unfortunately, these amazing
felines are vanishing quickly. “Realm
of the Tiger” is an educational
kit sponsored by the Save the Tiger
Fund, AZA and Exxon to promote the
plight of tigers. Included in the
kit is tiger information, videos,
posters and classroom activities.
It would be a great unit to include
before a visit to the Zoo. Contact
the Zoo’s education department
for more details. |

Suitcase
for Survival
Sponsored by the World Wildlife Fund and AZA, this suitcase is packed with endangered species information, curriculum and animal "biofacts." Students have a chance to see and touch rare animal coverings while learning about conservation. It opens the door for an exciting cross-curriculum unit, if you want to take it that far. This kit is available for a two week visit. |

Biofact
Kits
Is your class learning about Adaptations or Classification? These topics will be much more interesting to your students when you use animal "biofacts." If you have another topic in mind, give us a call. A variety of horns and antlers, coverings, bird feathers and nests, skulls and even eggs are available and ready to make a visit to your classroom. The kits can be checked out (one at a time) for two weeks. |

*All
kits are subject to a refundable deposit of $25.
