Currently we do not offer a structured birthday program, but we welcome birthdays for children and adults. 

Birthday FAQ

Q - Do you have picnic tables available to rent?

A - We do have picnic tables that are available for free on a first come first served basis when they are not reserved for corporate parties.  The majority of these tables are in the Peacock Pavilion which is halfway into the zoo, across from the primate building.  Please visit the Group Parties page for information on reserving our pavilions.

Q - Can we bring our own food/cake on grounds?

A - Yes!  If you will not be renting a venue space you are welcome to bring your own food to the Zoo. Or you may choose from the tasty offerings at our various concessions stands.

SSA is Hogle Zoo’s exclusive caterer and offers many options to choose from for parties that are held in one of our venues. For menu suggestions take a look at our menu page.

Feel free to bring in your own birthday cake and ice cream!

We ask that you be mindful of your trash and make sure that it ends up in either our trash or recycle bins or safely back in your vehicle.

Q - Can we bring balloons, confetti, streamers, etc?
 
A - No.  Balloons, confetti, streamers, bouncy balls, and other small plastic toys are prohibited, as they can end up in animal exhibits.
 
Q - Can we get discounted tickets?
 
A - Yes.  Groups of 20 or more paying individuals are entitled to a discount on admission providing one person pays for the entire group and the group enters together through one entry at one time. It is not necessary to make prior arrangements with the zoo unless the group wishes to also reserve a picnic area or set up a company party or event.
