Memorial Fund – Dr. Hugh Hollister Hogle, MD, FACS

(1939- 2016)

HughHogleA gifted surgeon, passionate conservationist, sportsman and photographer, Hugh Hogle was also a beloved and devoted family man, survived by his wife, five children, 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and his two brothers. Dr. Hogle was a son of James and Bonnie Hogle who donated the land up Emigration Canyon that became the home of Utah’s Hogle Zoo. His obituary captures his legacy. “It can be viewed in the human lives he made better, it can be heard in the bugle of a bull elk or the whistling wings of pintail ducks high overhead, it can be felt in the memories of those who knew and loved him.”   A fund has been established at the Zoo to honor the memory of this extraordinary man.
