Utah’s Hogle Zoo has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Admissions Supervisor in our Guest Service Department.  This position will report directly to the Director of Guest Relations. The Admissions Supervisor will coordinate discount admissions, group reservations, special admission programs and daily admission.  They will also maintain all aspects of the Gateway and eGalaxy ticketing system. This position will help train, monitor and mentor all members of the Guest Service team and ensure that outstanding guest service standards are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with front line supervision and staff support
  • Ensure that zoo policy for service animals, guest lists, appointments, media, and deliveries are being followed
  • Maintain all frontend hardware and software ticketing components
  • Manage shopping cart applications within the eGalaxy system
  • Work closely with the Guest Service Coordinator to provide staff training on all ticketing applications
  • Work closely with the Data Base Admin. to ensure that the Galaxy program and the Microsoft SQL server are working properly and preform system upgrades as needed
  • Perform all system administrator duties within the Gateway Ticketing system
  • Provide ticketing services for interdepartmental ticketing
  • Enter and maintain discount orders in the Gateway Order Entry program
  • Configure resource managed event sales
  • Man Guest Services and Membership sales booth
  • Other duties as assigned by zoo management

Qualifications and Skills

  •  Excellent customer service skills
  • Ticketing system experience preferred
  • Dependable, reliable, flexible, prompt and trustworthy
  • Experience with Windows, word processing, internet, and spread sheet applications
  • Troubleshooter – ability to predict and solve problems
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Team oriented, able to train and motivate a team
  • Work quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations, questions and comments etc.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift heavy loads
