(Salt Lake City, UT)-Not only did November 2008 show Hogle Zoo’s public popularity
with 72% passing of a Salt Lake County bond initiative, but that very same
month also brought international industry recognition to the Zoo. On November
17, 2008 in Orlando, Florida, the International Association of Amusement
Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Brass Ring ceremony honored Hogle Zoo with two
Brass Ring awards for their ZooLights! 2007 print ad and summer 2008 radio

nearly a century ago, IAAPA is the premiere worldwide organization for the
attractions industry. As part of their dedication to the preservation and prosperity of this highly
specialized industry, the Brass Ring ceremony is a way to recognize
globally for outstanding creativity and excellence ten
marketing categories. This year, Hogle Zoo was only one of a few parks
and attractions honored with multiple awards.

Parkin, Hogle Zoo Associate Director, Marketing Services was in Orlando to
accept the award. “Being recognized with these awards means a tremendous
amount to the Zoo. It means that our hard work is noticed and appreciated,
which also resonates with other marketing professionals throughout the world,”
