After much anticipation, Utah’s Hogle Zoo is pleased to introduce two year-old polar bears, Hope and Nora.
The Zoo supports many conservation initiatives around the world, but focuses on these 6 key animals.
The Zoo was established at its current location at the base of Emigration Canyon in 1931. Its natural terrain covers 42 acres of tree-lined pathways where visitors can view over 800 animals. Open all year!
At the center of our Small Animal Building, you’ll find our Rainforest exhibit featuring free-flight tropical birds along with several species of tortoises.
Want to make a difference in helping to conserve wildlife and their habitats? 100% of funds raised from your up-close animal encounter will go to projects and efforts dedicated to saving wildlife.
Whether it’s a ride on the Zoofari Express, the Lighthouse Point Splash Zone, or deciding which animal to sit astride of on the Conservation Carousel, there are a lot of fun family features at Hogle Zoo.
Keepers provide items such as piñatas, puzzle feeders, toys and novelty foods to stimulate all of the animals’ senses and encourage a wide range of natural behaviors.
Enjoy spectacular free-flight bird demonstrations featuring eagles, hawks, owls, parrots and other birds from around the world in the Wildlife Theatre. (May-Sept.)
Eco-Explorers are champions of conservation. Through the power of interpretation, they share the importance of science and research in helping the worldwide movement of protecting wildlife and wild lands.
Be sure to make plans to be a part of this “fun raising” opportunity at the Wildest Party In Town at Zoo Rendezvous, always the Thursday after Labor Day.
We have fun, interactive classes for kids of all ages, as well as for family and community groups. You can even experience the Zoo at night one one of our Overnight Safaris!
