Primate Forest

Primates are an order of mammals that include very primitive animals called prosimians, as well as monkeys, apes, and humans.

Primates are mammals having a highly developed brain, eyes facing forward, a shortened nose and muzzle, and usually have opposable thumbs. Primates generally live in groups with complex social systems, and their high intelligence allows them to adapt their behavior successfully to different environments.

Primate Forest houses several species of primates – from the Old World and New World. New World monkeys are primates found in South and Central America and generally live in trees and are mostly herbivorous. Old World monkeys occupy a wide variety of environments in South and East Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
