It's time to celebrate polar bears!
This year’s event falls on International Polar Bear Day!
Help #SaveTheSeaIce during this fun hybrid event, where you will learn all about Polar Bears International, our conservation partner, and their efforts to save these exquisite animals and the Arctic sea ice they call home. This event will help you learn fun and creative ways to be a part of conservation through thermostat challenges, powering down unused electronics and pedaling for polar bears.
Join us online as we incorporate these green practices through fun activities and videos that can be found on our website.
Also, visit us at the Zoo IN PERSON on Feb. 27 from 10AM-1PM. You can see how you measure up to our life-size print-out of newest resident, Nikita. He just arrived from North Carolina. He's still in quarantine (customary for all new zoo animals) but we want to see how you see how tall you are compared to his 10'5" feet stance! Write him a welcome note and take the “Pedal for Polar Bears” pledge.
Also, see what yummy treats our polar bears will be snacking on.
