Are you a 6th grade teacher who wants ideas for the new SEEd standards? During this one-day workshop, you’ll explore how to connect the new standards and phenomenon based learning with the natural world. The workshop will feature in-the-field science and Zoo conservation programs you can use to attract your students to the world of science.

Participants in the workshop will engage in relevant inquiry investigations that are connected to the SEEd standards using the Zoo’s science-based conservation programs and living classroom to gain knowledge and ideas. Lessons are flexible, allowing teachers to adjust for their students’ abilities. This workshop will also show you how to use the Zoo as a teaching resource and the many tools we can provide you to enhance learning in your classroom.  Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes as you will be spending time on Zoo grounds.
