Carnotaurus was among the fastest of the meat-eating dinosaurs. It may have reached top speeds of 25 to 30 miles-per-hour – the same speed as a polar bear.
Like a polar bear, it had cone-shaped teeth but, based on its jaw structure, its bite was weak. To kill prey, it may have used a downward striking action with its mouth open – like swinging a hatchet or club!
