Fish Bite Fish

ON DISPLAY THROUGHOUT THE ZOO  May 24-September 30

FISH BITE FISH

Look closely– the plastic items used to create this art piece have extensive bite marks from fish, crabs, birds and other marine species. Marine animals often mistake plastic for food.  Eating plastic can cause death by blocking their digestive systems or reducing their ability to absorb nutrients. Plastic pieces also often have contaminants, making them a toxic meal.

Can you find these marine debris items in this sculpture?

  • detergent bottles
  • drink bottles
  • hand lotion bottles
  • packaging

If you can’t you’d better plan a visit to the Zoo today to see these amazing sculptures in person!

You can purchase Zoo Admission tickets online!

CLEAN IT UP

Every day can be a clean-up day. Anytime you go for a walk or an outing, bring a bag or bucket to pick up trash.

Every piece of trash picked up and properly disposed of is a piece that will not cause harm to local environments and animals.
