Adult Volunteers

For more than 30 years the volunteers at Utah’s Hogle Zoo have donated their time, talents and energy to helping the Zoo fulfill its mission.

Volunteers play an integral role by:

  • Helping guests learn about the animals they see on exhibit
  • Assisting with the delivery of  educational programs
  • Staffing special events
  • Helping with pool maintenance
  • Assisting the keepers with animal care

Utah’s Hogle Zoo seeks and selects people for our volunteer program who are:

  • Genuinely interested in and care about people, animals, nature, and conservation;
  • Friendly and outgoing;
  • Enthusiastic and dependable;
  • Committed to providing our guests the highest standards of customer service;
  • Able to make the minimum commitment of hours as specified in the position description;
  • Able to attend the required orientation, interview and trainings;
  • Able to contribute a $15 program fee (Note: financial assistance is available, please contact the Volunteer Office)
  • At least 18 years of age
