Hogle Hoedown (21+)

Welcome to the wildest brew adventure – at the zoo! Proceeds from Hogle Hoedown benefit the Utah-native species coming to the new Wild Utah exhibit opening next spring. Wild Utah is the zoo’s first expansion in nearly 10 years and will feature rescues and species from our great state like cougars, bobcat, big horn sheep, honey bees, and burros. The focus of Wild Utah is to appreciate, learn about, and protect Utah’s natural habitats and wildlife.

Watch the lions roar as you sip a cold one. Enjoy delicious brews from local breweries, savor a bite, and experience wildlife while you explore the zoo after hours. And don't miss out on the exclusive Zoo Brew-only animal encounters and animal art. Zoo Brews are the ultimate adult-only experience you don't want to miss. • Zoo Brews are 21+ events. A valid photo ID is required upon entry. 
• Animals may not be viewable during evening events at Utah’s Hogle Zoo. 
• Utah’s Hogle Zoo wants you to have fun like responsible party animals. We encourage all guests to be prepared with ride share or designated driver.

What is Zoo Brew? 

• A themed party that benefits wildlife conservation every month of the summer, and in October!  

When can I buy individual Zoo Brew tickets? 

• Individual Zoo Brew tickets go on sale in April and will remain available for purchase until they sell out, or until the event happens (whichever happens first). 

If I’m a member, can I buy an individual ticket for a friend? 

• Zoo Brews are more fun with friends. Use your membership to buy an individual ticket for your friends and family. The more, the merrier! 

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else if I can’t attend? 

• Ticket holders can transfer their ticket to a friend if they can’t attend. The friend needs to have the email/PDF, or the ticket in the Apple Wallet, and a valid 21+ ID, to enter. 

How will I receive my individual ticket? 

• Individual tickets will be sent to the email provided. The PDF can be scanned or added to your Apple Wallet. 

Are individual tickets refundable? 

• Individual tickets are non-refundable. 

What does each entry to Zoo Brew include? 

• Your Zoo Brew entry gives you access to the zoo after-hours during the specific Zoo Brew event. Drink tickets and animal encounters/feedings must be purchased separately. Some animals have a strict bedtime, so you may not see all animals. 

What can I expect at Zoo Brew? 

• Zoo Brew is an adult-only, after-hours fun environment! So come with your gal pals, on a date, or your friend group. It's your chance to see the zoo in a completely different way. Drink tickets can be purchased separately but are not a requirement. The best way to experience Zoo Brew is to: dress up according to the theme, purchase brew-exclusive food and beverages, feed the giraffes, buy brew-exclusive art made by Utah’s Hogle Zoo animals, and learn how to support the conservation cause of the night. Zoo Brew will also have a variety of entertainment, like live music and games. 

Does Zoo Brew happen rain or shine? 

• Yes! 

Why isn’t there a Zoo Brew in September? 

• Instead of Zoo Brew, we will hold our annual fundraising event, emphasis in FUN. Zoo Rendezvous, the fundraiser, is themed “Bee Groovy.” Learn more about our annual fundraising event.

Pro tips: 

• Buy your entry ticket as soon as you can – Zoo Brew usually sells out! 
• Get there early – there may be a line, and some animal buildings close early for strict animal bedtimes. To help the line move quickly, be ready for a bag and ID check. 
• Check out the Zoo Brew menu as early as the night before! They will be posted on the Facebook event page, and on Instagram/Facebook stories. 
• There are several drink ticket booths and bars. When you walk in, there will be a drink ticket line, but keep going! There is another in Rocky Shores, and one by the carousel. If you have cash, there are cash-only drink ticket sales. 
• Respect the animals at the zoo. You are coming to visit them in their home. 
• Drink tickets are only available for the night you purchase them. They do not roll over. 
• Collect an exclusive sticker from each Zoo Brew. Proceeds from each sticker go towards Utah’s Hogle Zoo conservation efforts.
