  • Are guests allowed to bring in outside food and drink?
    Yes, with the exception of alcoholic beverages and glass containers.
  • Is there a place for guests to eat their lunch?
    Yes. We have numerous grassy areas at the Peacock Pavilion for guest picnicking. These locations are held on a first come, first serve basis and require no reservations.
    Patrons of the Beastro, Cat Wok Café, Rocky Shores, and Oasis Plaza are welcome to eat at the designated seating within those locations.
  • Are pets allowed in the Zoo?
    No. Utah’s Hogle Zoo enforces a strict policy against admitting any pets onto Zoo grounds. This is to ensure the safety of highly sensitive animals in our Zoo collection. Exceptions are provided in the case of a Service Dog for people with disabilities. The owner must check-in at the Guest Service office to read and sign Utah’s Hogle Zoo Service Animal Agreement.
  • What forms of payment does Utah’s Hogle Zoo accept?
    Utah’s Hogle Zoo accepts cash, traveler’s checks, Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, and American Express.
  • Are ATM’s available?                                                                                                                   Utah’s Hogle Zoo has three ATM’s on grounds. The ATM’s are located within the Zootique gift shop, The Beastro, and in Rocky Shores. Look for the $ symbol on your Zoo Map.
  • Does the Zoo have wheelchairs available for rental?
    Yes. We have both manual and electric wheelchairs for rent, along with strollers and wagons. Due to the limited availability we are unable to reserve any of these items. Please see the Rentals page for pricing and more information.
  • Do you charge for parking?
    No. Parking is free at Hogle Zoo and we’re proud to offer four charging stations, free of charge, for guests driving electric vehicles (first come, first serve).

COVID-19 FAQ’s

  • Do you require masks? Following CDC guidelines and recommendations to keep our guests safe, masks are now only required for those ages 3 and up who have not yet been vaccinated. Masks are required both indoors and outdoors for unvaccinated guests.
  • How do I reserve a time slot and get tickets? (Members included) Click HERE to reserve your time slot.
  • Do you have the gift shop, food, and rentals available? All three! The gift shop has been re-opened for all, The Beastro and other food locations are up and running. See a list of our rentals including strollers and wheelchairs by clicking the link HERE.
