Is the Eccles Express Train Ride open at Hogle Zoo?
Yes, the train ride is open and runs from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Important note: the Eccles Express train is weather-dependent. For safety reasons, the Eccles Express cannot operate when there is water, snow, or ice on the tracks. With its timeless appeal and classic design, the Conservation Carousel is a beloved attraction for guests of all ages. It features 42 hand-carved animals, two accessible chariots, and is covered by a pavilion for year-round use. Proceeds from each carousel ticket purchase support our local and global conservation initiatives.

The Creekside Play Area is a shaded play area that overlooks Emigration Creek. This play area is the perfect place for kids to connect with nature and for parents to relax after a long day at the zoo. Note that the play area will close for safety if there is water or snow on the equipment. Creekside Playground is FREE for all zoo guests.
