Utah’s Hogle Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums— an honor that is given to just ten percent of zoos across the nation. This means that we’re equipped to deliver exceptional animal care and top-tier visitor experiences.
Every ticket we sell helps us become champions for the animals we love— those both at the zoo and in the wild.
With your help, we have invested in several conservation initiatives. These include (but are not limited to) constructing ranger stations in Uganda, outfitting orangutan research teams in Borneo, and securing critical boreal toad habitats here in Utah.
The zoo supports conservation initiatives around the world.
In addition to supporting our Big 6 featured species, we also sponsor organizations that focus on single species or work to conserve the ecosystem they live in. Check out the links below to learn more about these fantastic conservation programs.
Wild Aware Utah is a partnership between Utah’s Hogle Zoo, Utah State University Extension, and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. We aim to educate Utah residents and visitors about how to live and recreate safely around wildlife. For more information, please visit wildawareutah.org
