An inclusive Halloween evening at Hogle Zoo
Utah’s Hogle Zoo invites guests of all ages and abilities to experience BooLights in a sensory-friendly setting during Neurodiversity Night.
This special evening is designed to create a welcoming, supportive environment for individuals with sensory processing differences, while keeping the Halloween magic of BooLights.
What to expect:
- Ambassador animal experiences in the Entry Plaza
- Lowered volume and ambient sound levels throughout the zoo
- No flashing lights or strobe effects in light displays
- No Dr. Frankenstein show in Wildlife Theater
- A relaxed pace and reduced crowd size for a calmer experience
Costumes:
Dress up in your favorite costume, enjoy a festive evening of glowing pumpkins and gentle lights, and discover the magic of Hogle Zoo, transformed for Halloween, at a pace and sensory level that suits your family best.
For the safety of the animals and all guests, full face-covering masks, weapons or weapon-like props, and inappropriate or graphic costumes are not allowed. Utah’s Hogle Zoo reserves the right to deny entry to or remove from the grounds based on costume safety concerns.
Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning with a sensory-friendly preference, we hope this inclusive evening helps everyone enjoy the spirit of Halloween.
